The Qataris, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan say they have been intercepting missiles fired from Iran at US military bases on their territory.

Three American service members have been killed and casualties are reported in the UAE, Israel and Kuwait as Israel and Iran continue to trade strikes.

The UAE says six Iranian missiles were intercepted, but one fell inside the country, as well as six drones. The UK embassy in the UAE earlier warned people to "shelter in place".

The flight, chartered by the UK government, was supposed to leave Oman on Wednesday night but was delayed by a technical issue. One passenger calls it a "total farce".
