With an advancing warm front and an unstable atmosphere well south of Indianapolis, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for portions of the Hoosier State.

A stretch of severe storms left several homes and businesses destroyed across parts of the Midwest.

The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed Friday that a preliminary EF-1 tornado with estimated wind speeds of 100 mph hit Bloomington in Monroe County.
